TOEFL Writing Task 1 Free Sample Questions [Complete with Audio]

In the TOEFL Integrated Writing Task 1, you will have 20 minutes to write a response based on a reading passage and a related lecture. First, you will read a passage and take note of its main ideas and details. After reading, you will listen to a lecture that may agree with, disagree with, or provide additional perspectives on the passage’s content. Remember, you will only hear the lecture once and will not have access to the reading passage while listening.

Your task is to write a well-organized essay that integrates and summarizes the key points from both the reading and the lecture. Clearly present how the lecture supports, challenges, or adds to the information in the passage. Ensure that your essay is structured with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion, and use specific examples from both sources to strengthen your response.
